Detroit -- Detroit Public Schools unveiled Thursday the first completed construction project under a $500.5 million bond construction program. John R. King pre-kindergarten to eighth-grade school received a $10.7 million renovation, marking the first of the 18 schools expected to be restored or rebuilt under the bond program Detroiters approved in November.
